We are stoked to announce the addition of a new race to our action-packed weekend at Deuces Wild.  We are going to make history by adding the first ever night-time triathlon, and to make it more challenging, it will be in the dirt!  Welcome to XTERRA Deuces Wild After Dark!

You must qualify to do this race by meeting our strict criteria. If you apply and meet our criteria, then we will let you know how to register. This race is limited to only 75 people. You must meet the following minimum criteria:

1) You MUST have competed in the XTERRA Deuces Wild Triathlon in the past with a finish time under 2:45.
2) You MUST have competed in at least one night time mountain bike and/or run race.
3) Professional athletes may request an exemption to #1 above.
4) If selected, you MUST be willing to register and pay the $75 registration fee for this race.

Applications close on or before May 19, 2019

Q: How do I register?
A: You must apply to this race to see if you meet our qualifications. If you are selected we will let you know how to register.

Q: This is an XTERRA race, so is it a qualifier?
A: No, it is not. Since it is the only one of its kind, it is a stand-alone XTERRA event. For now!

Q: What are the distances?
A: Swim: 750m, Bike: 8 miles, Run: 2.5miles

Q: When is the race?
A: Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 7:30PM.

Q: Where is the race?
A: At Fool Hollow Lake in Show Low, AZ - where the rest of our races take place.

Q: Why are you having this race on a Thursday night?
A: We are putting on 15 other races over the weekend and this is when our team of volunteers could make it happen.

Q: How much is the race?
A: $75 - you get a special shirt, and if you finish, you get a unique medal and bragging rights for the rest of your life that you were one of the first people ever on the entire planet to do a night-time triathlon.

Q: Do I get XTERRA points?
A: No. This is an XTERRA-branded race but it is not included in the points series; however, our standard XTERRA on Sunday, June 9th is in the points series.

Q: If I am selected for the race do I need to bring lights?
A: Yes, you need lights for the bike and run.

Q: Why are the distances what they are?
A: Fool Hollow Lake is an Arizona State Park and they have only allowed us a 2-hour window to make this race happen. These distances, along with our qualifying criteria, will accomplish this task.
