Team Scoring

Triathlon Teams and Running Teams are scored separately.  Below are the details on how your team's time will be calculated.  The team in each category with the fastest accumulated time from the weekend will be the champion.

Triathlon

Triathlon Teams:
The combined time for the top three men and/or top three women will determine the scoring.  Teams must have three racers of at least one gender in each of the following three races: DeuceMan Half Triathlon, Olympic Distance Triathlon and XTERRA Triathlon.  If a team is comprised of just one gender then they will only be eligible for awards for that gender (i.e. a team of all women will need to have three racers in each of the triathlons).  Racers in the DeuceMan Half and Olympic are also eligible to race in the XTERRA. If a team has enough men and women to race all three triathlons they will be eligible for the combined team championship as well as their individual championships.

Collegiate Triathlon Teams:
The combined time for the top three men and/or top three women in the Olympic Distance Triathlon will determine the scoring for the Collegiate division.  Teams must have three racers of at least one gender in the Olympic to be eligible.  If a team is comprised of just one gender then they will only be eligible for awards for that gender (i.e. if a team only has three women then they are only eligible for the women’s division).  If a team has enough men and women in the Olympic distance triathlon they will be eligible for the combined team championship as well as their individual championships.

High School Triathlon Teams:
The combined time for the top three boys and/or top three girls in the Sprint Triathlon will determine the scoring for the High School division.  Teams must have three racers of at least one gender in the Sprint triathlon to be eligible.  If a team is comprised of just one gender then they will only be eligible for awards for that gender (i.e. if a team only has three girls then they are only eligible for the girl’s division).  If a team has enough boys and girls in the Sprint distance triathlon they will be eligible for the combined team championship as well as their individual championships.

Running

Running Teams:
The combined time for the top three men and/or top three women will determine the scoring.  Teams must have three racers of at least one gender in the Half Marathon, 10k and 8k Trail Run.  If a team is comprised of just one gender then they will only be eligible for awards for that gender (i.e. a team of all women will need to have three racers in each of the run races).  Racers in the Half Marathon and 10k are also eligible to race in the 8k Trail Run. If a team has enough men and women to race all three runs they will be eligible for the combined team championship as well as their individual championships.

Collegiate Running Teams:
The combined time for the top three men and/or top three women in the 10k and 8k Trail Run distances run will determine the scoring for the Collegiate division.  Teams must have three racers of at least one gender in the 10k and 8k Trail Run to be eligible.  If a team is comprised of just one gender then they will only be eligible for awards for that gender (i.e. if a team only has three women then they are only eligible for the women’s division).  If a team has enough men and women in the 10k run they will be eligible for the combined team championship as well as their individual championships.

High School Running Teams:
The combined time for the top three boys and/or top three girls in the 5k distance run will determine the scoring for the High School division.  Teams must have three racers of at least one gender in the 5k run to be eligible.  If a team is comprised of just one gender then they will only be eligible for awards for that gender (i.e. if a team only has three girls then they are only eligible for the girl’s division).  If a team has enough boys and girls in the 5k run they will be eligible for the combined team championship as well as their individual championships.
